LOWLANDS

Lowlands - overwhelmingly flat land forms that once formed the bottom of the Baltic Sea and/or innerland waterbodies during the Late Ice Age and later, in Holocene. The sediments evened out the watertight layers. In Estonia there are coastal lowlands and sea islands, and inland paludified lowlands.
